Smith to Lead Online and Offline Marketing Efforts in Media, Entertainment and Consumer Brands
NEW YORK (PRWEB) September 16, 2004 -- ElectricArtists, a leading online marketing firm, today announced the appointment of Dave Smith to the agency's senior management team as Director of Business Development in its New York office. In this role, Smith will be responsible for new business initiatives, external communications and offline market expansion. He will work to strengthen and expand the firms existing client base in consumer brands, television, film, DVD, music, video games and publishing.

Previously Smith was at Segue>Entertainment Network, a company he founded in 2003 to provide online and offline marketing support to bands, artists and entertainment venues. Prior to Segue, Smith published and marketed a book titled The Official Movie Plot Generator: 27,000 Hilarious Movie Plot Combinations by The Brothers Heimberg. In addition, Smith worked in Marketing at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, where he was responsible for institutional sales.
Smith began his career with stints at Makovsky & Company and MacMillan Communications serving as an account manager and media relations specialist. He received a B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University and has earned his M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
