license monitor releases electronic online pro-active driver safety program.

New York based risk management corporation, provides first ever Driver Data Management System (DDMS) that assists companies in minimizing the risk of having invalid/high risk vehicle operators on their fleet.

(PRWEB) September 17, 2004 -- Program Now Provides Public and Private Organizations with Complete Driver Record Management and Real-Time Notifications to Curb Careless Driving License Monitor, Inc., based in Floral Park, NY, today announced the New York State public release of its patented, real-time, pro-active driver license monitoring application. The License Monitor program notifies its clients of all reported DMV events through an online Pro-Active Motor Vehicle Record (P-MVRTM) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The License Monitor application further empowers users with an intelligent Driver Data Management System (DDMSTM) -- a driver data management system with built-in advanced report generation features that enable organizations to easily review driver records and quickly identify drivers that present the greatest risk to the organization. License Monitor, Inc. was the winner of the High Tech Company of the Year award in New York State in 2002 and the Notre Dame University Business Plan of the Year award in 2001. Its clients constitute both public and private fleets including municipalities and utilities, and spanning commercial trucking, construction, telecommunications, food and beverage distribution, bussing, transport and media markets. Employers of all sizes currently benefit from the service by monitoring their employed CDL, hazardous materials and standard vehicle operators.

In January, 2003, the Federal Department of Transportation reviewed the License Monitor program and concluded that organizations enrolling their drivers in the program satisfy the DOTs mandatory Annual Driving Record Inquiry and Review requirements thereby eliminating the burdensome maintenance of paper motor vehicle records for those organizations. The program has been available to all commercial fleet organizations through the internet at www.licensemonitor.com

The program is now also available to all qualifying New York State public entities (State, County, City, Town, Village, etc.) through the New York State Office of General Services, Agreement # PS61131, Group 79132 License Monitor Inc. -- Electronic On-Line Database. New York State based public entities may easily register and obtain the service for their employed drivers via their New York state purchasing agents. The public entity internet web portal is located at ogs.licensemonitor.com and additional information can be found at http://www.ogs.state.ny.us/purchase/snt/lists/services.asp

License Monitor is endorsed by several state-wide organizations including the New York State Motor Truck Association, the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of New York, and the Empire State Petroleum Association. Discounts are available for commercial fleets with certain association memberships.

Richie Etwaru, License Monitors CIO & Managing Partner announced, Utilizing our system, our clients have identified and prevented thousands of invalid and/or careless drivers from driving trucks and vehicles on company business. Our system has helped our clients avert major financial risk. In todays economy, such risk could prove disastrous to organizations of any size".

Lancaster, NY based Try-It Distributing Inc.s Operations Manager praised the new program, License Monitors system has marked a paradigm shift in the way we manage our fleet safety. The system is the most cost and time effective method we have used to manage our fleet of drivers and minimize our risk associated with negligent entrustment litigation. Our insurance carrier loves the concept and it also has proved to be a valuable tool when used in our driver improvement programs. The real time MVR reports have enabled us to spot potential problems and take a proactive corrective action BEFORE they lead to driver disqualification, keeping our most valuable asset, our employees, qualified & productive. "

The Vice President of Syracuse based Riccelli Enterprises, one of the largest construction material haulers in NY State commented, In the last three months we have prevented several employees from driving our trucks when their licenses were suspended. In many instances the employees themselves were not aware of the suspension of their driving privileges. License Monitors system has reduced our risk enormously and we are confident that this will have a positive impact on our bottom line. At Riccelli, we believe that Safety is good for business."

The HR Manager at Suit Kote in Cortland, NY said, We have been very pleased with the notification of driver license suspensions and invalidations as they happen. Being in the construction industry, Suit Kote takes road safety and regulations seriously, and License Monitors system has proved to be a major asset to us in our ongoing efforts. Our administration time in this area has been slashed by over 80%."

The Vice President of Transportation for Byrne Dairy in Syracuse indicated, Since the installation of your system, we have been able to track driving trends, we have instant notification of changes in motor vehicle records, and we can now take immediate corrective action with our drivers. Your system has truly helped to elevate awareness in our organization as a whole and brought our safety program up to the next level . . . As a result of using your system we were able to negotiate with our carrier and we received a substantial rebate on our premiums . . . I highly recommend it to anyone."
