The Alumni Association selects this honor for a South Texas College of Law graduate who has made an outstanding civic contribution to the community, provided leadership and positively contributes to their profession.

Dr. Blue, a 1980 South Texas graduate, is a well-known and widely respected trial attorney and psychologist. She has represented hundreds of victims of mesothelioma caused by asbestos exposure and diseases caused by other toxic substances, honing her skills as an expert on jury selection and witness preparation. She was recognized by The National Law Journal as one of the top 50 women litigators in the U.S. for her accomplishments in trial courts around the country.
Dr. Blue has also given her support to the renowned advocacy program and the Dallas Alumni Chapter of the South Texas College of Law. She also works with Exodus Ministries, a non-profit organization providing transitional housing and support services to ex-offenders and their families.
