IamEmo the smiley face :-) for the 21st century

moodmessaging partners with Telstra to bring IamEmo content to mobile phones across the country

Sydney, Australia (PRWEB) September 18, 2004 -- moodmessaging Pty Ltd, an Australian-based multimedia content development company, today announced that it has partnered with Telstra to bring IamEmo content to mobile phones across the country.

IamEmo uses a colourful animated chameleon called Emo to help people easily express their mood in messages.

Emo expresses a range of emotions, such as excited, sad, cheeky, angry and romantic so Telstra customers can let people know exactly how they feel when sending a message to their friends and family.

This not only creates massive differentiation for the handset itself, but also encourages daily MMS usage and the ongoing downloading of new IamEmo content," said Kevin Brough, CEO of moodmessaging.

Under moodmessagings agreement with Telstra, customers will get access to unique IamEmo characters including some that have been specifically designed to align with Telstras sponsorship and marketing efforts such as Australian Idol. moodmessaging will initially provide Telstra with exclusive customised content preloaded onto Sony Ericsson handsets, with further plans to preload content onto a range of other handsets, including those manufactured by both Motorola and Nokia.

Telstra Consumer and Marketing, Youth Segment Head, Mr Matthew Willsher, said IamEmo is the smiley face :-) for the 21st century and may change the way people communicate with their mobile phones.

A common criticism of standard mobiles messages is that its difficult to convey feelings, emotions or even the meaning of a message," Mr Willsher said.

With IamEmo, customers can easily give emphasis, joy and uniqueness to their messages -- to reflect their personality and better communicate their message."

Our customers are always looking for new and innovative ways to personalise their phones. IamEmo will give our customers the freedom to communicate in a unique way to those most important to them."

This is very exciting for moodmessaging," Mr Brough said. With Telstra, we now have a major telecommunications partner to help bring our small Australian company to the global stage. We believe this partnership will bring credibility to the IamEmo concept and help grow MMS awareness and usage."
