Stateline Selects Phase2 Technology to Develop Content Management Workflow and Publishing System
Phase2 will implement a web-based system that allows Stateline to manage their entire content management workflow process. The system will also provide processes for workflow, editing, layout, version control, archival and reporting of news stories.
WASHINGTON, DC (PRWEB) September 18, 2004 -- Phase2 Technology ("Phase2"), a web software solutions company, announced today that it was selected to design, develop, and manage a content management system for Stateline.org, a Washington DC-based non-partisan, non-profit online news publication that reports each weekday on state government. Stateline.org is a project of the Pew Research Center, a nonprofit subsidiary of The Pew Charitable Trusts.
Phase2 will implement a system that allows Stateline's staff of Washington-based reporters to create, manage, edit and publish a variety of forms of content and data feeds for the online news site. The new web-based system will also provide processes for workflow, editing, layout, version control, archival and reporting of news stories. The public website will feature enhanced navigation and layout, as well as additional news features. The system is also expected to manage Stateline.org's growing news alert subscription process, handling the content, delivery and profiles of subscribers that opt for daily and weekly news delivery services.
"Phase2 is looking forward to this partnership to provide an improved technical solution that will allow Stateline to focus on its mission of providing non-partisan state coverage to its readers and subscribers" said Jeff Walpole, Managing Partner of Phase2 Technology.
"We're looking forward to working with Phase2 Technology. We believe they offer the skills and solutions that will help us take Stateline.org to the next plateau in providing news and information that is as easy to access as it is useful," said Stateline.org executive editor Gene Gibbons.
About Stateline.org
Stateline.org is a non-partisan, non-profit online news publication that reports each weekday on state government. Funded by The Pew Charitable Trusts it was created in 1999 to strengthen and enrich U.S. political journalism by providing information about political activity in the 50 state capitols. In an era of declining news media presence in statehouses, Stateline.org helps fill the coverage gap.
Stateline.org compiles a news report each weekday linking to the day's top news in the 50 state capitols, along with news stories and analysis by its staff of Washington-based reporters. It has twice been honored with National Press Club journalism awards. For more information on Stateline.org, visit www.stateline.org.
