Design Intuition(r) 1.3 Received High Marks from MacWorld
Design Intuition(r) 1.3 recently received an award of 4 1/2 mice (out of a possible 5) from MacWorld magazine, emphasizing that it has is both easy to learn and economical, yet powerful and accurate enough to do serious work.
(PRWEB) September 19, 2004 -- In the September issue of Macworld, Design Intuition(r) was reviewed and awarded 4 /12 mice (out of a possible 5).
"This is welcome news for us," says Jonathan Sand, the president of GizmoLab and author of Design Intuition(r), "I'm very pleased that MacWorld has given us their thumbs up."
The article cites ease of use, something that GizmoLab is tremendously focused on. It also mentions Repeaters and Smart Objects, both of which are unique to Design Intuition(r).
Version 1.3 of Design Intuition(r) introduced the Repeater technology, which removes much of the tedium of laying out repetitive structures, such as joists, studs, tiles, fence posts and planking, plywood surfaces, and many, many more. "It's a computer. It should do a lot of the tedious work for you," says Sand.
Version 1.4 of Design Intuition(r) will be available soon and adds Cutting Diagrams to the feature list. The Cutting Diagrams feature significantly reduces the tedium involved in figuring out how to cut plywood sheets or other inventoried material into a project's component pieces. This is a real time saving feature.
"My goal over the next year or so is to reduce the time involved for designing and estimating a project by about 95% over what it takes to do it by hand, or even by some of the industry standard CAD software," says Sand.
