NAU Takes Democrat Event Off Campus in Show of Fairness
Flagstaff, AZ - In a show of fairness, Northern Arizona University today upheld their standing policy of keeping partisan politics off campus. Earlier this week a flyer was distributed across the NAU campus advertising an appearance by Cate Edwards, daughter of Democrat Vice Presidential Candidate John Edwards, to speak on campus this Sunday, September 19th, at noon at the Cline Library Auditorium.
In 2002, Northern Arizona University administration officials declined the use of NAUs Skydome to President George W. Bush because the nature of the event was political.
We are pleased that NAU has upheld the same standards with Ms. Edwards as they did with President Bush two years ago," said Paul Ingram, Coconino County Republican Chairman. This sign of fairness by NAU President, Dr. John Haeger is genuinely appreciated," Ingram said.
The Coconino County Republican Committee is actively seeking volunteers in it's effort to ensure four more years of George W. Bush's leadership. Please contact us for more information about volunteering and contributing. Based in Flagstaff, Arizona the Coconino County Republican Committee is dedicated to supporting and growing Republican ideals in Northern Arizona.
