Dark-N-Stormies imprint was launched October 1 with the release of four books:

"Shadows of Deception," by Gary Carmody: Brian Fogarty is a police officer who is suddenly the target of a hired killer. As Brian races to find out who wants him dead and why, he begins to wander just who around him he can trust.

Gary Carmody lives in Fort Collins, Colorado with his family and makes his living as a freelance copywriter. This is Garys first book.

"Scent of Murder," by Jeffrey Marks: Someone has been playing perfume-related pranks at Kantors Department Store. Yet, things turn deadly serious when someone is found murdered in Marissas office. The fact that the victim was engaged to Marissas ex-husband doesnt help matters.

Jeffrey Marks lives in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jeff has one a number of awards including the Barns and Noble Prize. In addition, he has been nominated for an Edgar (MWA), an Agatha (Malice Domestic), a Maxwell (DWAA) and an Anthony (Bouchercon) award.

"Between a Clutch and a Hard Place," by Gayle Trent: Myrtle Crumb goes to a consignment shop and comes home with a brand new (or would it be used?) mystery to solve. Based on the note she finds in a black clutch, she decides to find out what happened to the purses previous owner.

Gayle Trent lives in Bristol, Virginia "Between a Clutch and a Hard Place," is her fifth published novel.

MCLEARYS MULLIGAN, by Bridget Bell Webber: Chase McLeary has one chance to put his past-a failed golf career and the death of his wife-behind him and start anew. A fledgling company with a revolutionary set of golf clubs needs Chase as badly as he needs them. One problem: someone out there doesnt want Chase to get his Mulligan.

Bridget Bell Webber, a high-handicapper with an avid slice, lives with her family in Annapolis, Maryland. MCLEARYS MULLIGAN is her first book.

These four books making up the launch of Dark-N-Stormies will be released on October 1, 2004 and will officially launch at a party hosted by Barnes & Noble in Johnson City, Tennessee on October 30, 2004. The books will be available for distribution via Ingram, Baker & Taylor, Amazon, Gartners and others.
