Whats new in PDExpress and MyPDC 2005:

Enhanced Activities Management

Activities management has been enhanced to provide greater flexibility and control over the amount and type of data related to activities and activity participation requests. School districts are able to create custom activity participation request forms and activity detail information. Activity review and approval notifications are automatically sent via email.

Enhanced Credentials Management

The new credentials window gives school districts complete control over the amount and type of data required to maintain and manage information about teacher credentials. Staff members receive automatic expiration notifications via MyPDC. Administrative users receive automatic alerts in PDExpress about expiring credentials.

Course document attachments

To provide more information about courses, users are able to attach documents (e.g. PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) making them available to staff in the MyPDC course catalog.

Staff and presenter photos

Photos can be attached (in .jpg or .gif format) to staff member and presenter records. Photos are used in MyPDC when referring to advisors, staff members, and presenters.

Integrated Spreadsheet

The integrated spreadsheet enables administrative users to view, search, print, and export information.

Enhanced Query/Update window

In addition to the integrated spreadsheet and 52 standard reports, administrative users are able to create custom database queries by dragging a dropping table names into the SQL Query Field. Custom queries can be saved for future use.

Enhanced Import window

Administrative users can now open and edit an external data file directly in the Import window. The integrated data validation tool highlights and color codes invalid rows in the import spreadsheet.

New Staff data fields

The staff information view now includes data fields for gender, ethnicity, next evaluation date, and mobile phone number. The gender and ethnicity fields are linked to value lists.

Support for Microsoft Windows 2003 Server

For added control and security, the PDExpress database is locally hosted on a District server supporting the current release of Windows 2003 Server.

Availability
