I arrived in NYC on September 12, 2003. I am 46 years old. Some people say moving here took balls. In order to get to know the city, I began to ride my bike around. I took my camera with the hope of finding some interesting things to shoot. While riding my bike along the East River, I saw a big yellow buoy on a barge. It made me think about my move, about New York, and balls. I laughed. A lot. And started shooting balls.
I have scoured Manhattan looking for big balls. I have ridden miles, chasing distant balls looming on the horizon and tracked down leads from friends. Synagogues, mosques and churches all seemed to have balls. Sculptures, statues, buoys bobbing in the river. More balls. Big balls of New York. Theyre everywhere. Cant wait to hit the boroughs.
