Scranton, PA, September 20, 2004 --- If your employees are unhappy with their work life, a new workshop from Career Systems International can equip them to take matters into their own hands and achieve satisfaction in their current job.

Called SATISFACTION POWER™ this unique new workshop is based on the Wall Street Journal bestseller, LOVE IT, DON’T LEAVE IT: 26 WAYS TO GET WHAT YOU WANT AT WORK (Berrett-Koehler) by Beverly Kaye and Sharon Jordan-Evans. The half-day workshop, produced by Career Systems International, is targeted to help individual workers personally improve their work life and in the process, make it more satisfying. With 71 percent of our workforce not engaged and eight out of 10 people reported to be looking to change jobs, employee satisfaction has become a critical component of corporate retention efforts.

“Studies show the more satisfied employees are, the more likely they are to put customers at the heart of what they do and the less likely they are to leave their company,” says Dr. Beverly Kaye, founder and CEO of Career Systems International and coauthor of LOVE IT, DON’T LEAVE IT.

“With unhappy employees costing the economy some $300 billion a year in lost productivity, helping them achieve satisfaction on the job is both an urgent national and employer priority,” she says.

A unique feature of SATISFACTION POWER™ is the concept of peer coaching through “talent teams” established during the workshop. Workshop participants are introduced to a process to continue their action plans with their talent team after the workshop, working together to identify new ways to find meaning and satisfaction on the job. Talent teams embrace workers of all ages and stages in their career and across all department lines. This new cutting edge concept empowers employees as they work together to develop and implement plans for improving their workplace satisfaction based on the principles introduced in the workshop.

The SATISFACTION POWER™ workshop is comprised of four sections:

FACE UP: Take stock, take ownership, take responsibility, and be accountable - uncover your own reality about job satisfaction.

FOCUS IN: Learn 26 strategies for achieving job satisfaction in the key areas of development, relationships, and environment.

FORWARD MARCH: Organize priorities, plan and practice for ASK conversations, and develop individual “actionable” plans.

FOLLOW THROUGH: Commit to a process to continue work in self directed talent team sessions after the workshop.
