Famed Fine Artist/Make-up Artist Claude Julian has been selected for the 4th consecutive year to judge the Miss National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Competition of Black College Queens at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta (September 25, 2004)

(PRWEB) September 22, 2004 -- Claude Julian is back as one of the celebrity judges for the 19th Annual Miss National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Competition of Black College Queens. The pageant is held annually to recognize the talent, personality, and intellect of students attending historically black colleges and universities and to strengthen institutional ties.

The National Black College Hall of Fame, created in 1985, honors alumni of historically black colleges. Members of the inaugural class included the late Martin Luther King Jr., opera singer Leontyne Price and Eddie Robinson, former head football coach of Grambling State University in Louisiana. Thomas W. Dortch, Jr. founded the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame to increase awareness for traditionally black colleges and univerities.

In 2003, Samantha Thomas of Lincoln University-Mo was crowned Miss National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Queen. The 1st runner-up was Traci Nix of Stillman College and 2nd runner-up was Moiro Konchellah of Fisk University.

Claude Julian is excited and honored to be selected for the 4th consecutive year because of his keen insight into fashion, beauty, intelligence, and the shaping of tomorrow's leaders. If you are interested in attending "The Competition of Black College Queens" please contact Leah Dortch-Nesbitt, Executive Director of The National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundations at (404)524-1106.
