New European Holiday Rental community forum launches

Media note: Darren Cronian is the owner and founder of UK-based holiday rental company Worldwide Holiday Homes (www.holiday-rentals.uk.com). His business was launched in February 2002 due to bad experiences when trying to market his parents holiday home in Spain.

(PRWEB) September 22, 2004 -- Holiday rental experts have launched a forum to discuss the issues within the industry. The aim of the forum is to get experts in the holiday rentals community to communicate and look at the issues surrounding all of us.

We all realise that they are individuals and companies out there who want to make "easy money" by offering to market owners properties knowing full well they have no intention of getting them bookings. The forum is discussing the issues surrounding a European holiday rentals association in which the holiday rentals community could at last have a central voice, a non profit organisation ran by professionals and experts within the industry.

Darren Cronian said, "I've advertised my parents apartment in Spain on 3 high profile holiday rental companies for the past six months - obviously to get my parents extra bookings, but it's been interesting to see how these companies operate. All 3 of these companies do not communicate with the owners, since signing up and paying my parents have not received ONE email or newsletter from them"

We face some very difficult times ahead - you can already see the problems that vacation rental owners are facing in the US with local communities at war with owners over renting out their property to short term vacationers.

The forum is open and has dedicated individuals who are commited to bringing the best possible service to owners and raising the profile of the industry - so please feel free to join the community and get your points of view across, either as a owner or holiday rental company based in Europe or worldwide.
