Genii Software introduces Midas Rich Text C++ API
Genii Software offers a C++ version of its popular Midas Rich Text LSX. Empowers developers with Lotus Notes/Domino rich text handling and HTML generation.
Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) September 23, 2004 -- Genii Software is pleased to announce the immediate availability of the Midas Rich Text C++ API 3.40. Joining the acclaimed Midas Rich Text LSX and introduced simultaneously with the @Midas Formulas 3.40 for formula language, the new C++ library extends the reach of the Midas Rich Text family of products to new languages and new audiences.
The Midas Rich Text C++ API is designed to appeal to the ISV or hard core developer who wishes to build custom or commercial products in C++ which utilize the simple but powerful methods available in the Midas Rich Text LSX. The same easy, but powerful, classes and methods are available, but can now be integrated in server add-ins, extension managers, menu add-ins or even stand alone programs. Adding rich text data mnipulation or high quality HTML generation to commercial third party products can now be done easily and quickly. There is a standard licensing model for corporate use, but special arrangements can be made with ISVs who need customized licensing. Some early adopter ISVs are already working with this API to extend Domino integration with .NET and with other external software.
The Midas Rich Text C++ API is available for all Windows client and server platforms for Notes/Domino 5.x and 6.x/6.5x, but will be made available shortly for additional operating systems, including Linux and AIX. Genii Software is evaluating the feasibility of offering a Mac version to allow creation and manipulation of design elements which are more difficult in that environment due to the lack of a Domino Designer client for the Mac.
Additional information can be found at http://www.GeniiSoft.com. Evaluation licenses are available upon request.
