San Miguel Studio Tours - four exciting days of open studios with San Miguel artists, live jazz and special gallery events in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. November 25-28.

Mark your calendar for the exciting San Miguel Studio Tours Extravaganza. The event showcases 25 top artists and photographers who live and work in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. San Miguel Studio Tours event coordinators have teamed with the Internacional Festival de Jazz to include 3-day Jazz Fest passes with the Studio Tours package.

“We are very excited to be bringing such a talented and eclectic group of artists together for the inaugural event,” says Shari Reynolds, Event Director for Mercado San Miguel. “The artist homes are some of the most creative and enchanting in San Miguel. It’s a unique opportunity to see where the artists live and work, what inspires them and to form personal relationships. People read a lot about the artist community here – this is a chance to experience it!”

People from around the world and Mexico attend the Internacional Festival de Jazz each fall in San Miguel. “It has grown into a major annual event, attracting national and international musicians, music lovers, students and teachers, and visitors who just want to share the joy of music”, says event co-founder and director, Elena Shoemaker who started the event in 1994.

Advance purchase tickets are available at the Studio Tours web site along with online galleries for all the participating studio artists and Jazz Fest schedule.

San Miguel de Allende, a majestic colonial town, has been a haven for artists since the 1950’s. Now home to more than 6,000 Americans and Canadians, the city is a magical blend of old and new featuring more than 20 galleries, world-class restaurants, quaint cafes and a late-night music scene with dancing until dawn. The cobblestone streets and charming colonial architecture make San Miguel a fun, interesting and romantic place to spend the long Thanksgiving weekend.
