360 Degree Feedback by Panoramic Feedback Now Available for Eastern European, Cyrillic Languages

360-degree feedback became available today to millions of new potential users, as Panoramic Feedback expanded the language capabilities of its employee development tool. Panoramic Feedback can now be used in all languages commonly spoken in Europe and the Americas, plus the Slavic languages.

(PRWEB) September 23, 2004 -- 360-degree feedback became available today to millions of new potential users, including Russians, Ukrainians, Greeks, Turks, Poles, Romanians, and Czechs, as Panoramic Feedback expanded the language capabilities of its employee development tool.

Panoramic Feedback can now be used in all languages commonly spoken in Europe and the Americas, plus the Slavic languages.

360-degree feedback, also known as "multi rater" or "full circle" feedback, energizes individuals to improve their workplace performance. It provides them with feedback from those who know their abilities best, gathered through online questionnaires that preserve responders' anonymity.

Organizations worldwide use the tool to improve productivity, support leadership development, and guide performance management. Panoramic Feedback is unique in making
it available in more than 50 languages.

360-Degree Feedback Available in World Languages

In 2003, Panoramic Feedback began the process with a massive re-write of its program's engine.

"It took a huge commitment to transform the tool so it would accept and reproduce the characters of all the world's languages," said CEO Esther Kohn-Bentley. "But so many global companies want to use Panoramic Feedback, it was clearly worth the investment.

To expand its benefits beyond the Western European languages, the programming team completed the conversion from the old Latin1 standard to Unicode earlier this month.

New language groups are now being added in stages. Today's extension contributed the Eastern European languages and Greek, plus more than a dozen Cyrillic languages.

Chinese, Japanese, Korean Coming to Panoramic Feedback Soon

With the basic Unicode development complete, the technical team has now turned its attention to Asian languages, including Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

"360-degree feedback is so powerful in helping people develop their skills that it should be available to people everywhere," said Kohn-Bentley. "We're proud to be in the forefront of this adventure."

Summary
Panoramic Feedback expanded the language capabilities of its 360-degree feedback tool today to cover all languages commonly spoken in Europe and the Americas, plus the Slavic languages.
