Up to 15 million women and girls worldwide have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), a complex hormonal disorder for which there is no cure. Not only does PCOS cause devastating short term effects such as infertility, obesity, acne, hair loss and excess facial and body hair, PCOS also has a substantial negative impact on quality of life because of the disorder's multi-system conditions.

Due to many of the symptoms of PCOS, women are often left to feel less than feminine and PCOSA was formed to offer support, products and programs to enhance positive self image for women with PCOS.

Donations of clothing, services and products are still being accepted, as well as applications for hairstylists, make-up artists and models for the fashion show.
