Joe Songwriter will perform in the Third-Annual Daniel Pearl Music Day" to promote Harmony for Humanity". The free solo-acoustic concert at NYCs Sidewalk Café, will take place on Wednesday, October 13th, 2004 at 7:30pm. The show is part of a week of global performances taking place from October 8th-17th, 2004. Joe Songwriter will read a dedication to the murdered journalist and musician, followed by a 30 minute set of original music.

The world came to know Daniel Pearl as the Wall Street Journal reporter who was murdered by terrorists in Karachi, Pakistan. During the week of Oct 8th-17th, 2004, Joe Songwriter joins with artists from around the world for a week of global performances to promote the ideals that inspired Daniel Pearls life and work, and to stand up to the hatred and intolerance that took his life.

Joe Songwriter has been turning heads in NYC clubs since January. With a sound reminiscent of Cat Stevens, Joe Songwriter delivers deeply personal and inspiring original songs with messages of peace, hope, love and the journey back to self.

Joe Songwriter will read a dedication to Daniel Pearl from the stage at the start of his concert followed by a 30 minute set of solo-acoustic material.
