New CAD / CSI Details and Specs for Federal ADA Mandates Now Available for Full Public Domain Distribution

(PRWEB) September 28, 2004 -- For several years now the design standards for detectable warnings (Braille for the feet) used for making pedestrian ways at ramps and vehicular way transitions safer for blind and visually impaired persons have been in a state of flux. The new design standards are now complete and new CAD / CSI and PDF formatted files are finally available for public domain use for all construction projects.

For the purpose of compliance with new ADA mandates, Vanguard ADA Systems of America announces today that it has fully released for download all architectural details for current public right of way Americans w/Disabilities Act/DOT/FHWA Detectable Warning applications/installations in CAD format, in both *.DWG and *.DXF at its website (www.VanguardOnline.com).

Also available on Vanguards website are these same details in PDF format for those agencies not using CAD software for their specifications and design systems.

Due to changes in the federal regulations, architectural firms, general contractors, public agencies and installers nationwide have been waiting for these important final drafts to be released to eliminate the confusion as to approved standards. These drawings are now available for full public use and download. In addition, full installation and application/CSI specifications are available for download in PDF as well as Microsoft Word format.

All drawings and specifications are public domain properties and all parties are free to use and disperse among all agencies.
