Bringing Information to the face of Logistics

A revolutionary IT solution called XL-DMS is launched by TKWs System Integration services to reduce process-redundancy and incorporate paper-less culture in corporates.

New Delhi, India (PRWEB) September 27, 2004 -- Shaping a revolutionary change to Logistics and IT industry and taking corporate to paper-less office culture, TKWs System Integration Services deployed their premiere solution called XL Document Management System (DMS). Operating at a testified speed of 18 documents per minute, this system is also a major cost-cutting advantage to stakeholders in the logistics industry.

TKWs XL DMS finds its first taker in form of Jains Group, a major CHA based in Delhi. After a careful analysis of their routine documentation, the solution was customized to requirements and Automatic Document Feeders (ADFs) were installed at strategic locations.

Now we can sort, classify, print and e-mail any of our documents that are fed in the content repository, automatically with little human intervention. We are expecting to achieve a break-even within 2 months, but the improved work efficiency, customer relationships and employee satisfaction is invaluable." Exclaims Mr. Shailender Jain, MD, Jains Group. He and his systems director, Abhishek Jain are most excited at the prospect of saving one full office floor, that was otherwise occupied by stockpiles of these papers, an obligation of the CHA Regulation Act.

This fully equipped XL DMS operates at two-levels, with 'Customization of its software being the supreme advantage. Its in-built dual back-up facility allows users to enable CD or Network for automatic replication of data. Besides other advantages like receiving of faxes, keyword-based document search, etc. this system claims to reduce the number of hard copies of documents by atleast 84% for a CHA.

Reacting to its successful pilot-run held in August, Mr. Amit Goyal, Business Head - Systems, TKWs remarked, Information is the vital ingredient for all logistics transactions. It is important for the players to ensure its state and transparency. This system will be a true achievement when managers could unlearn some of the traditional practices and align themselves with the global best practices around which XL DMS has been designed."
