With national press from Newsweek's feature on Mind, Body Medicine, national author, tv and radio guest and mind, body medicine expert and cancer survivor says cancer and illness is rooted in emotions of pain and inner turmoil. Every part of the body is connected with an emotion and uncovering the root creates the opportunity for more effective and lasting healing.

With national press on the impact of emotions on illness with Newsweek’s feature story on Mind, Body Medicine, mind, body healing expert, guest on national and local television including Fox, ABC and NBC and radio and two-time cancer survivor says cancer and illness is rooted in emotions of pain and inner turmoil.

“Every part of the body is connected with an emotion. I work with men and women everyday facing cancer and without fail those individuals are struggling with emotional issues like anger toward the opposite sex which shows up as breast, ovarian or testicular cancer for instance,” says Innerfeld. In working with numerous individuals facing serious illness she has discovered that while they need to heal the body medically, the deeper healing is to look at their life choices and pain they are holding in marriages or from life experiences to heal the root in the heart.

Innerfeld’s book, Healing Through Love, shares her story of battling colon cancer twice, suffering abuse as a child, facing bankruptcy and ending a 30-year marriage, among other things to learn through her cancer experience that the root of the illness was within her own heart. What she has subsequently learned about healing from illness and emotional trauma, is a lesson she now shares with people all over the country: She created the cancer in her body and it was in her power to get rid of it. She teaches that all healing is about choice and we each have the power to manifest everything, including health and happiness in our lives.

Five years ago, Innerfeld co-founded the Worldwide Center in Evergreen, Colo., a business providing personal and spiritual growth workshops, services and products. Healing Through Love (ISBN: 0-9711522-1-7, Healing Arts Publishing, September 2004, $15.95), chronicles her own story as well as stories of many clients who faced powerful choices in order to heal.

Some topics Innerfeld’s workshops and book discuss are:

  •     How is Your Body Talking to You – What Does Illness in Each Body Part Mean?
  •     Do You Refuse to Go to the Doctor? Your Judgment Could Cost You Your Life
  •     Women at the Crossroads of Life ... Is There Something More?

Innerfeld currently lives in Evergreen where she works with her clients at The Worldwide Center and even conducts phone sessions internationally. For more info on the workshops, visit
