O for a muse of tank fire ?

(PRWEB) September 30, 2004 -- It seems something is a-foot in the 5YLAC films Camp. The company who have been around on the independent scene for the last five years are making their move into mainstream with a new take on the Bard's classic English war propaganda tale Henry V.
Checking out their site www.henryV.co.uk reveals the opening lines of the chorus to the play. Nothing odd about that you might think, but after a bit of searching through the web a page not linked to the main page but accessible through a search on google for HenryV brings up the following. http://www.henryv.co.uk/footage1.htm
At the top of the page are 4 pictures of Tiger Tanks, below that the text reads :
Henry V Test Footage Reel 1 September 2004.
Below that a Quick time video clip showing some quite realistic looking model tanks in a mock "Battle of The Bulge" Scenario.
So is 5YLAC Films Version of Henry V going to be another Richard III as in Richard Loncraine 1995 film
"Not at all.", Says producer Robert St-John Smith. "We've been caught a bit off guard, we are planning to use a lot VFX and model work in the film and that tank clip was a bit of fun from one of our test shoots. We Never thought anyone would pick up on it but, it looks like the clip has been found, and through bulletin board's such as www.armortek.co.uk, www.mark-1-tank.co.uk and E-mail the clip has spread globally and has been downloaded from our site alone 10'000 times. The Amount of questions and interest we are now getting in about Henry V is amazing"
So do the tanks feature in the film ?
"We're keeping the concept pretty tight to our chest at the moment, but taking on Henry V we knew we couldn't do the whole Knights In Shining Armour affair as we don't want to fall into being compared with Branagh and Olivier's Version. The Challenge here is that Shakespeare play takes us from a to b very strongly through the dialogue, I want to make the visuals equally as strong. By creating strong visuals for the film we hope to make the text a lot more accessible. Ideally to the point where you could switch the sound off and still be hit by the same impact that the text delivers. To do this were currently raiding the whole of cinema history to find our image. If you think the tanks Henry V connection is strange, over the coming month's its going to get a lot stranger"
Finally, Who will be filling the shoes of King Henry Himself ?
"It's a little bit early in regards to casting, but we can confirm that we are having talks with several agents for not just for Henry's Role itself but quite a few of the Key players. Our Hostess character is probably going to create the biggest stir"
Henry V is due to start shooting late 2005. 5YLAC Films first feature Mortus Illumina is being planned to screen at Cannes 2005. For further information please contact the press office at Pressoffice@5ylac.biz or Press@Henryv.co.uk
