Simplewire provides Premium SMS Aggregation for the Emmy® Awards
Simplewire, a U.S.-based SMS aggregator, provided the Premium SMS aggregation services for the 56th Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards. Simplewire was able to deliver a full-blown, premium SMS (Short Messaging Service) program launched across the top six wireless carriers within a two-week time period -- a record in terms of launch time for the short-code industry.

HipCricket, a leading mobile marketing and event company, was selected by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to power an interactive mobile Emmy Trivia Challenge for this year's Emmy Awards. The Mobile Emmy Trivia Challenge was a series of daily two-part premium Short Message Service (SMS) trivia quizzes testing viewers Emmy Awards Trivia knowledge via their mobile device. Simplewires dynamic billing features for Premium SMS enabled HipCricket to charge $0.50 to enter/per day for the challenge rather than per message. (Sprint subscribers were exempt from charges.)
