University of Selling Opens

The first ever full time University focused on creating trained and certified professionals for sales positions commences operations. Online campus opens while physical location is under development.

(PRWEB) January 4, 2004 --The University of Selling is now offering courses and certification to individuals who wish to move into or move up in a career in selling. The courses introduce the student to the basics of selling including: prospecting, listening, negotiating, customer service, the psychology of selling, and closing client transactions. The advance courses include skills in interpreting body language, voice inflection, framing and visualization. A professional sales person requires about two years of study to fully utilize all the tools available to reach the top levels in a sales team. Three levels of certification are currently offered: Introduction To Selling, Associates Certification in Selling, and Bachelor Certification in Selling.
Students of The University of Selling follow a demanding regimen that includes video, written and audio training. Tests are given over the Internet to certify completion and new curriculum arrives at the rate of completion. The University of Selling was founded by Michael May, a successful sales person, engineer, author and entrepreneur. Mr. May finish 1st in a field of over 400 sales representatives at a billion dollar computer firm, finished in the top five of field sales people by teaching 100 dealer sales associates at Apple Computer and then built his own firm into a top Inc 500 firm by utilizing the knowledge that is incorporated into these courses.

The University of Selling offers assistance in locating selling positions across the country after graduation. Students must apply and be accepted into the Associate and Bachelor programs. Anyone can order the Introduction to Selling Courseware. Programs start at $975 and go up to $5875 for a Bachelor of Selling Certification.
