A&G Healthcare Services announced recently a long-term agreement to provide secondary network repricing for all of Benefit Systems and Services, Inc. (BSSI) out of area/network claims. BSSI is a third party administrator (TPA) that provides benefit administration services for health, dental, disability, prescription drug, vision, and Section 125 plans for over 130 clients, covering 65,000 lives.

(BSSI) out of area/network claims. A&G Healthcare Services is a national leader in providing cost containment strategies. Repricing and electronic processing of primary and secondary PPO claims provide clients with many workflow efficiencies and significant dollar savings.
A&G Healthcare will provide BSSIs repricing services through its advanced Multiple Application Repricing System (MARS). MARS uses EDI technology to provide high speed, high volume claims repricing via the Internet. All MARS Internet transactions are HIPAA compliant. BSSI processes 2,500 claims per day of which 30 percent are out of area/network. It is estimated that the daily repricing of these 750 claims will save BSSI customers over $7 million per year.
BSSI uses its proprietary DataPlus claims processing system to process the repriced claims. DataPlus is a sophisticated, state-of-the-art claims processing and adjudication system that was developed inhouse by BSSI. BSSI also uses A&G Healthcares Amera-Net national travel wrap PPO to wrap its primary network which allows A&G to reprice 100 percent of BSSIs out of area/network claims.
