Local independent Film Maker John Calvin Doyle, MPM Productions, long time actor himself, “Serial Mom” among many other roles, decided it was time for the women to take control. And take it they did! Filmed locally in Perry Hall and Baltimore City, with the help of locations in Gaithersburg, “The Falesetoes trailer was previewed for the first time at the Patterson Theatre’s own Creative Alliance Movie Makers Salon, Monday October 4, 2004, and was quickly received with questions of the anticipated release date. Wouldn’t the world spin a little better if a sense of humor could be injected into our daily lives? Well this is the focus and vision of John Doyle, who masterfully turns the tables on the seriousness of the gangster world and playfully and creatively “spoofs” the mob families into comedians’ improv style. People have traditionally become fascinated by “mob” movies because the ordinary man typically dreams about what the “tough guys” actual do. Remove the killings and bullets, throw in some chaos and female mayhem and you have the perfect ingredients for laughter “Falsetoes” style.
