Moore's painting,"Sailing," a 10 x 12 Oil Painting depicting a ragged creature in a small red boat in turbulant waters, will be on display at the Mobile Museum of Art from October 15 til December 26, 2004. Moore states frankly that his work is often theraputic in nature but "My work is primarily about the integration of the Light and Dark within myself." The painting itself has a highly intuitive style and technique reflecting a raw, primitive quality that is juxtaposed with a startling innocence. "These are troubled times we live in....rough waters for all of us" Moore asserts.
Moore began painting at the age of 36 after a career in Real Estate in New York City and Arkansas. Since then, Moore has exhibited Nationally & Internationally in Galleries, Art Centers and Museums. His work, actively collected in the United States, Canada, Europe & Japan, has been referred to as Outsider Art, Art Brut, Raw Art and Visionary Art.
