New Comedy Club Opens in Highwood, Illinois

Laugh All Nite Comedy Showcase brings the funniest local comics to the Northshore on Tuesdays at 7:30. Every Friday at 8:30, The Comedy Club, excites with Top National and Chicago comic talent.

(PRWEB) October 1, 2004 -- When he was asked if there was anything he wouldn't do for a laugh, Rick March shrugged and said, "Go figure." He was six years old.

Now a few decades later after a radio stint in Syracuse, New York and cracking people up with his menagerie of voices, Rick returns to the stage. He says he's "too dumb to come in from the rain". But the true talent is in making his sarcasm and quips relevant to today's audience.

Completing a class with Comedy and Radio Star - Dobie Maxwell, the realization that 5 minutes on stage is really more difficult than it looks hit and hit hard. "Hard is good" says Rick. "Stupid is bad - and I hate stupid".

Working with his friend of 30 years, Bruce Chudacoff, of Dance All Night, Inc. they put together a package of live entertainment featuring dancing, karaoke and of course comedy.

This package seemed to be part of the vision of Barry Goldbum,the owner of Pop's Highwood, a well known night club in Highwood, Illinois. "Comedy has a place here at Pop's" said Barry.

As a way of saying "Thanks" the cover charge is waived on Tuedays for all Teachers, Military Personnel over 21 years of age, and Emergency First Responders.

Laugh All Nite Showcase and Comedy Club appears at Pop's Highwood, 214 Greenbay Road, Highwood, IL. There is a $5 cover on Tuesdays and $10 cover on Fridays and a 2 drink minimum both days.
