About the founder/ PHESS -- In 1996, at the young age of 28, Mr. Plouffe was diagnosed with invasive adenocarcinoma of the colorectal-type. Exactly on his birth date, a low resection was surgically performed to remove a lesion near the anal verge; complications ensued resulting in near loss of life. To this day he has been plagued with bowel troubles, and strives for a normal life knowing full well his limitations. As an Electronic Field Technician by trade, Mr. Plouffe has had the opportunity to travel abroad repeatedly; although this has been enlightening, at times it has proved equally distressing due to his condition. One of the important discoveries during his travels was that streaming water is used for personal cleansing in many countries around the world.
