Ranking number ten in this yearÂs list of the fastest growing, privately-owned companies, this is Cherokee DataÂs fourth year to receive this prestigious Metro award from the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce. Cherokee Data has increased revenues by over 400% over the last few years and is expected to reach record revenues again this year. Cherokee Data was this yearÂs recipient of the U.S. Department of CommerceÂs New Export Achievement award. Cherokee works exclusively with the largest and most well respected computer manufacturers and sells worldwide deriving half of its revenue from the international market.
Jim Askins, Founder and CEO of Cherokee Data started his company after a long career with major multi-national corporations, General Electric, Honeywell and Control Data. He holds an Electrical Engineering degree with an MBA and has done post graduate work at Columbia University, as well as being an MTP graduate from the General Electric Prestigious Management Training Program.
Cherokee will kick off the celebration at their annual holiday party. Several key staff people will be honored at that time. Cherokee is always looking for new business partners and has been working diligently this year to bring more products to the secondary market. Towards the end of the last quarter of this year, several new major business partners will be announced.
