On Saturday, October 9, Kids With A Cause will introduce a special group of kids to a very special group of horses when they visit Return to Freedom, American Wild Horse Sanctuary in Lompoc, California. Hilary Duff, Kids International Spokesperson and Return to Freedom Youth Ambassador, spearheaded the group of celebrity kids to visit the sanctuary. Cause Kids who will be visiting the Sanctuary include Ryan James from Judging Amy, Stephen Lunsford from Malcolm in the Middle, Jacquie Willey from Even Stevens, General Hospital Logan OÂBrien and two musical performers from Star Search and HolidayÂs at The White, Joelle James and Holly Stell.
Twenty kids from Eggleston Family Services, a group home in Los Angeles for neglected, abandoned and abused children who have been removed from their families will get a rare trip away from the city where horses roam in limited captivity. In addition to creating a temporary loving home, Eggleston also provides foster and adoption services.
Kids With A Cause was founded in 1999 to provide a helping hand to the children of the word who suffer from poverty, lack of education, sickness, abandonment and abuse. These celebrity youth and teens have decided at a young age to donate their time and names to help others and their community.
Return to Freedom is a wild horse sanctuary that was founded in 1998 by Neda DeMayo as a refuge for more than 200 horses. The Sanctuary provides an environment in which individuals (especially children) can directly experience nature and animals. Its programs are designed to education through self-discovery and to nurture appreciation for all life.
