FocusCore, Inc. Director Applaud Barack Obamas Health Care Ideas - Calls Obama Health Care Strategy ...first truly imaginative proposal offered..."

Louis Wise, director at FocusCore, Inc., called for support of U.S. Senate candidate Barack Obamas proposal to cut health care costs.

Arlington Heights, IL (PRWEB) October 18, 2004 -- Louis Wise, director at FocusCore, Inc., at the companys annual client appreciation luncheon, held September 30, 2004, called for support of U.S. Senate candidate Barack Obamas proposal to cut health care costs.

Louis Wise, director of FocusCore, Inc. stated, Mr. Obamas recommendation to pool small business owners workers into one health care program is the first truly imaginative proposal offered by any of this countrys candidates for office.

Offering affordable health insurance to employers, who enroll their employees in our professional employment core services organization, has been an important benefit to our clients. On average our clients have saved over 25% in health care costs using a risk pooling strategy offered by FocusCore. This is very similar to the program proposed by Mr. Obama," Mr. Wise added.

In a September 7th speech given in Rockford, Illinois, Mr. Obama suggested that small business owners be granted the right to pool their risk and purchasing power the same way major corporations pull a large number of workers, thus expanding access to affordable health care. He further stated he would seek a measure to provide a tax credit for small business owners who pay the cost of health insurance for all of their employees.

Quality health care should not be the privilege of the wealthy or the large corporations. We have found through the advantages of pooling, our clients have been able to reduce health care costs by over 25%, workers compensation costs by 45%, human resource costs by over 65% and headaches by nearly 90%," continued Mr. Wise. Furthermore, the current administration justifies the rising cost of health care and prescription drug costs as necessary to aid the cost of further research. What is the point of developing new drugs if only a privileged few can afford them?"

A recent study, reported in the Chicago Tribune on September 12, 2004, stated that health care costs jumped 11.2 % in the last 12 months. This was the fourth consecutive year of double digit health care cost increases. Further aggravating the situation are employers asking employees to share the burden or to take a reduction in benefits to lower costs. In August, it was announced that the monthly premiums for Medicare would increase by 17%. This is the largest increase in the history of the program.

It will continue to be the primary goal of FocusCore to offer our clients and their employees cost saving programs. Through imagination and support of candidates like Mr. Obama, it is our primary objective to offer entrepreneurs and small business owners the same advantages enjoyed by the large corporations. Today, it is you, the small business owner, who has already taken ownership in our country and your future, that will continue to make the United States the greatest country in the world," concluded Mr. Wise.
