Property Insurance Pre-Underwriting and Scoring System Set to Launch

National Risk Services, Inc. (NRS), a premium audit, property inspection and software provider to the insurance industry, today announced the debut of a brand new computerized pre-underwriting tool. Designed to assist underwriters in performing their day-to-day tasks, the newly unveiled pre-underwriting and scoring system promises increased efficiency as well as cost- and time-saving benefits to its users. The products launch marks a red-letter day for the property insurance industry. With its unveiling, insurance providers now have a fresh option when it comes to assisting their underwriting staff in making better decisions about the properties they insure.

(PRWEB) October 1, 2004 - A long-time leader in property inspections for the insurance industry, National Risk Services, Inc. has combined several years of experience and know-how into creating its scoring software. In an industry where underwriters can compare and evaluate hundreds of pieces of information in the process of reviewing policy application and inspection data, the need for improved job function efficiency becomes obvious. The new NRS software will enable underwriters to spend more time on underwriting the more difficult risks.

Tim DeMeza, NRS President, sums up the tools many benefits in this way: The system provides a clean report that, using visual queues, clearly indicates 'thumbs-up or 'thumbs-down standards. These indicators permit underwriters to know at a glance whether or not they need to check a policy issue that may fall outside of their underwriting criteria." To ensure maximum usability, the pre-underwriting and scoring system is also customizable. DeMeza adds, The underwriting criteria are set on a field-by-field basis and defined by a companys underwriting staff."

Making the product even more useful to NRSs clients, the data to be used in the pre-underwriting process can be collected via specialized OCR-, OMR- and ICR-recognition technologies from current inspection vendor forms. Alternatively, it can be processed in batch with data provided by the insurance carrier or by the carriers chosen inspection vendor. All results can then be passed back as paper reports, e-mails, XML, CSV or just about any format a companys IT department may require.

COMPANY SUMMARY: National Risk Services, Inc. provides automated field and underwriting support services to insurance carriers, MGAs, GAs and other personal and commercial lines inspection companies. Unlike other automated systems, NRS is able to collect all data from the inspection report and pass that data to the client in a variety of formats so they can perform additional analysis on it.
