Phonenames Ltd -The next success story from the Dyno Rod founders
Phonenames Ltd - a 10 Million personal investment, 10 years of lobby and research and the next success story from the people behind Dyno Rod
Surrey UK (PRWEB) October 3, 2004 -- Phonenames Ltd is the latest venture for entrepreneur and Dyno Rod franchise founder Jim Zockoll and where hell be focussing his future efforts alongside his son Steven. Tried-and-tested and a massive consumer hit in the US for thirty years, the phone names concept is used in a number of countries world wide and takes customer service, brand support and sales potential to another dimension.
Jim says: I shouldnt have to sell the concept of Phonenames, it sells itself. Would I prefer to dial 0800 FLOWERS to order some roses for my wife wherever I am and a call that costs nothing, or spend time thumbing through telephone directories to find a local florist? Put it this way, if I was a florist lost among a hundred others in that fat old telephone directory Id be worried, very worried."
Jim was first inspired to bring the concept of phonenames or alphanumerics - where customers dial a name, product or service rather than traditional phone number using the letters on their telephone keypad - to the UK ten years ago but had no idea of the challenge he faced and has worked tirelessly with regulators, telecom service providers and phone manufacturers to get letters back on key pads after they were removed by BT in the seventies. He has since invested more that 10 million in the project.
Based at Zockoll House in Surbiton, Surrey and managed by Jims son Steven, Phonenames Ltd is a business built around telephone numbers that spell memorable words and operates via bespoke agreements based on a clients marketing application.
Phonenames Ltd is already developing its own range of branded companies, with 0800 FLOWERS and 0800 WINESHOP already operating successfully and 0800 HAMPERS to launch in time for Christmas.
The Phonenames concept also provides business with an exciting opportunity for growth. 28 year old entrepreneur Bruce Greig runs his own 0800 HANDYMAN franchise network across the southeast and turnover is expected to double to 1 million this year since re-branding his company to 0800 HANDYMAN.
Its a no-brainer," Steven Zockoll explains. We know that consumers are losing patience with 'rip-off Britain and paying for premium rate calls and poor service, we also know people are worried about the security implications of buying online. A
phonename is free, easy to use and instantly recalled, when was the last time anyone remembered a phone number they heard on a TV or radio ad?"
Were able to give businesses as much or as little support as they need to operate their Phonename successfully. The possibilities are endless. In whatever way a company wants to use a phonename, we can offer the sort of advice that only comes from decades of business experience and of seeing people getting it right and getting it wrong.
The bottom line is that its getting harder and harder to retain customers. Everyday were speaking to businesses wanting to get back to basics by offering good old-fashioned customer service. A phonename allows them to do that."
