AeA announces Karen See, chief executive officer and founder of Abovo Group, to SE Council Board of Directors

ATLANTA, Sept. 30, 2004-The SE Council of the AeA (American Electronics Association) has selected Karen See of Abovo Group to join the board of directors of its SE Council. The AeA is the largest nationwide trade association representing 3,000 member companies across all segments and all size companies of the technology industry. The SE Council is one of 18 regional offices.

(PRWEB) October 3, 2004 -- "Karen See's leadership in the Atlanta business and civic community and her wealth of experience in the high-tech industry make her an ideal addition to our board," says Randy Keith, chair of the SE Council. "We are confident Karen will make a valuable contribution as she lends her insight and knowledge toward enriching the mission of the AeA to promote leadership in high-tech manufacturing and services."

Recognized as one of the "most important people to know in technology" by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, See has been actively involved in the local development and growth of the technology industry. See founded her company in 1997 to serve the business-to-business market with growth consulting and integrated marketing services and has become known for her expertise within the technology sector. See's industry leadership includes serving on the current board of advisors of the CEO High Tech Council and the board of directors for the Technology Executive Roundtable. She has also served as a board member for Women in Technology.

"I am pleased to have the opportunity to join this committed group of Atlanta executives as we help guide the direction of the AeA programs," says See. "The energy surrounding the Southeast's technology industry has never been more evident, and there couldn't be a more exciting time to exchange ideas and strategies on the
future growth of this sector."

According to Brian Martin, President & CEO of Nanoventions and the Vice Chair of the AeA SE Council, "I have known and respected Karen for years. I am fortunate to have served on the TER Board with Karen and have found her contributions to be both insightful and relevant. We are extremely fortunate to have Karen on the AeA team."

Prior to starting Abovo Group, See worked with KPMG Peat Marwick; First Data Corporation, Health Systems Group; and Gerber Alley, and has been an Atlanta resident since 1987. She is a frequent guest lecturer at Georgia Tech's School of Business and Georgia State University's Economic Forecast Summit, and has twice been a mentor for Georgia 100 and a protégé for the Committee of 200. See is also associated with a number of philanthropic organizations, where she and her organization work on a pro bono basis assisting non-profits in achieving their strategic marketing goals.
