Chatsby Films is Proud to Announce the World Premiere of the Latest Music Videos from Dan Zanes

Chatsby Films, Westchesters award winning production company teams with veteran Director/Producer Rick Fernandes and Dan Zanes (a founding member of the 80s rock band the Del Fuegos, whos new and original childrens twenty first century folk sound has gone from neighborhood entertainment to a national success story), to produce a series of music videos for NOGGIN. The first two in the series premiere on Noggin, Tuesday, October 5th 2004. (1:53PM All Around The Kitchen {after Maisy} and 5:54PM. House Party Time {after Little Bear})

(PRWEB) October 5, 2004 -- When childrens favorite Dan Zanes www.danzanes.com approached Rick Fernandes earlier this year, the seeds were sown for a powerful collaboration. Fernandes, who has been involved with many childrens programs, including "Bear In The Big Blue House", "Between The Lions", and "Out Of The Box", was also an executive producer of last years "The Pet Psychic" on Animal Planet. During that period he was working closely with Director of Photography Kevin Burke, a managing partner in Chatsby Films www.chatsbyfilms.com . Both Burke and Adam Matalon, Chatsby's other managing partner, have previously worked with Rick and are veterans of several kids shows, including the award winning "Bear In The Big Blue House", "Between The Lions", "The Book Of Pooh" (which garnered Burke a 2002 Emmy nomination) and "Sesame Street", for whom Matalon recently wrote/produced/directed the award winning live action character, Jane Tuesday.

It seemed like a natural to work with Chatsby, as they've evolved out of the same work ethos and are familiar with the particular nature of youth oriented material," said Fernandes, while recently finishing the videos at Chatsby Films' facility for delivery to Noggin.

When I asked Zanes (who had his start as a founding member of the Del Fuegos) what prompted the move into childrens music, he replied, After my daughter Anna was born nine years ago, I began recording the kind of family music that I heard in my head but couldn't find in the stores. Its really exploded!"

To date, there have been six CD releases for Zanes and Festival Five Records, with guests including Sheryl Crow, Philip Glass, Lou Reed, Suzanne Vega and Debbie Harry. Dan Zanes and Friends, as the band is known, have toured the country extensively and have been featured in the New York Times Magazine, People, Rolling Stone, and Entertainment Weekly.

Matalon and Burke were both enthusiastic about the project.

"Dan has an awesome sound, it's something you can listen to with your kids without feeling like it's kiddy music." said Matalon.

"I was listening in my car and I don't have kids," laughed Burke, "and, of course, we love working with Rick- there's always a lot of humor on the set."

Fernandes is presently involved in several pilot projects, and plans are underway for Chatsby Films and Fernandes to continue a working collaboration.
