Celebrities help the healing process

The Hospital Broadcasting Association has reached agreement with a new website www.expertsonline.tv to carry interviews with people such as GMTVs Eamonn Holmes, fitness guru and businesswoman Rosemary Conley, Premiership football manager Sam Allardyce and the original business 'trouble-shooter, Sir John Harvey Jones.

(PRWEB) October 6, 2004 -- Inspirational interviews with celebrities in many walks of life -- television, sport and the world of business -- could soon be helping the recovery of patients at hospitals throughout the country.

All these interviews, and many more, are carried on the web site in both audio and visual form. The HBA will be re-broadcasting them on their hospital radio stations.

The first patients to hear the words of wisdom from some of the best-known names have been those at the Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal. Says Station Manager John Williamson," For people in hospital to be able to hear at first-hand how Kriss Akabusi became a world champion athlete, or how Max Clifford got his first break by working with four young men who went on to conquer the world as The Beatles, or how entrepreneur Simon Woodroffe pledged his house to launch the first of his successful Yo!Sushi restaurants is both entertaining and inspirational."

Mr Williamson says the reaction to the first weeks interviews featuring GMTVs Eamonn Holmes and Dawna Walters of TVs Life Laundry" has been tremendous. The agreement with www.expertsonline.tv also shows, how professional hospital radio has now become, with the content it can provide."

He says the plan is now to extend the Kendal pilot to other hospitals around the UK.

Founder and Managing Director of the site, Phil Crowshaw, who was born in Workington said, Were delighted to have reached this agreement with the HBA. It assists us to raise the profile of the Expertsonline site, but at the same time provides us with the opportunity of doing our little bit in helping people in UK hospitals with their recovery."

Crowshaw also revealed that www.expertsonline.tv has recently signed alliances with BT, The Sunday Times Enterprise Network and with Pearson books.

Everyone wants to know just how household names have made it to the top. Celebrities explain how it isnt all plain sailing -- there are set-backs and hard work along the way. But their stories are truly inspiring for anybody."
