LOS ANGELES< CA (PRWEB) October 6, 2004
Once upon a time, they lived in opposite worlds: He in Denmark and she in New York City  Before Danish composer, Niels Cederfeld met lyricist Sally Hughes in Los Angeles, he tended to humbly discount the 100Âs of melodies heÂd composed since his childhood as some sort of an "addictive hobby." Sure, he knew heÂd always felt compelled to compose, but it was not until he and Ms. Hughes worked together on a film that his talent for writing melodies and her talent for creating lyrics came to the forefront of their relationship.
It all began with a pizza. THE pizza that was the subject of their first short film, "Pizza-d-Action." From that point on, as they continued to work together on subsequent film productions (now with Mr. Cederfeld producing Ms. HughesÂs scripts), it became apparent that original music  and plenty of it!  would be required for the various productions.
Lightening struck when Mr. Cederfeld confided in Ms. Hughes that heÂd been writing melodies since he was a young boy back in Denmark  and she got to hear his music. As she notes, "I was so completely blown away by Niels catchy melodies and powerful emotional compositions that I felt compelled to write lyrics."
And while two sets of SallyÂs lyrics (and Niels compositions) will be part of Mr. CederfeldÂs upcoming "Angel City" feature film soundtrack, the story does not end here. The two creative dynamos spent the summer of 2004 working together to create more than 30 original songs of various genres (including pop, rock, hip-hop, country  )  some of which have been entered in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest  others being saved for future creative projects and/or are open to sale and publishing deals.
The duo is also available for hire.
As the lyrics of their song "Opposite Worlds" convey, ÂCederfeld/Hughes is here to stay.
Opposite Worlds (Cederfeld/Hughes)
After years of opposite worlds  something magical occurred
They finally found themselves alone
Travlin on a silver train  through the misty mountain range
They were both so far from home
Their opposite worlds came together for the first
And they knew theyÂd be together evermore
