Changing of the Guard at Zaga Studios

Zaga Studios has been on an intense search for a new leader with the vision, expertise and industry contacts to take the company from an industry innovator to all out domination.

(PRWEB) October 11, 2004 -- John Mitchell, founder of Zaga Studios, stepped down from position of company CEO in the late 90s due to health reasons and since then the company has been run by a series of VPs and senior executive agents. Zaga Studios has been on an intense search for a new leader with the vision, expertise and industry contacts to take the company from an industry innovator to all out domination. The reason its taken so long to find a CEO to run Zaga Studios is because of their stringent criteria to qualify the candidate", says Todd Barns, industry insider, they have turned down some of the finest professionals the international production industry has to offer."

Zaga Studios neglected to look at the most obvious place for their new leader, their highly qualified, Senior Executive Agents. When they looked there, the choice was obvious. This morning, the company has named Jamie Brown, S.E.A. extraordinaire, as the new CEO of Zaga Studios. Im not, at all, surprised" Says Senior Agent Frank Flotts, Weve been telling the company to put Jamie in this position ever since John stepped down. Hes the reason our agent program has become as successful as it is. Because of his guidance, we have Executive Agents in our company making over $500k per year. Without Jamies innovation and development of new sales strategies, this type of success wouldnt have been possible"

Its Jamies ability to be in constant attack mode that makes him the obvious choice. In business you are either moving forward or falling behind. Jamie has a natural instinct to relentlessly tear forward, leaving competition coughing up dust. His seek and destroy mentality has industry leaders nervous and fearfully clenching onto their client portfolios.

Zaga has never focused on aggressive growth before" says Brown at a press conference Monday, theyre nonchalant efforts to simply sustain a gradual growth pattern has kept us slightly ahead of our competition but nothing more. They have never even joined something as basic as the Chamber of Commerce or SMEI which is something we will be doing in Philadelphia, immediately. The local economy needs to see our willingness to get involved. Its also time to kick off some dead weight, change the direction of the company to focus more on commercial production and turn on the turbo boosters to jet forward. I will be downsizing and outsourcing as much as possible to beef up profit margins. Zaga has put its editors in a virtual workplace and I intend on continuing with that. The new office is now here in Philadelphia and it will stay here. The company has never put forth any effort whatsoever to tell the public and the industry what we are doing and that is going to change. We will be bringing on a full time public relations representative to communicate to the public what we are doing."

When asked about the possibility of going public Brown responded, Well cross that bridge when we come to it but yes, it is in the future but there is no timeline as to when." Responding to a question about his plan for expansion, We will use franchising for our international expansion in 2005. Well focus on Western Europe and Asia and with the income history of our current executive agents, I intend on charging hefty territory fees for those that sign on".
