Stars, Candidates Sound Off In Political Documentary. Dallas Debut To Benefit Four Non-Profit Organizations

Producer/Director David Burrows has announced that the non-partisan documentary, America Speaks Out, will premiere at Dallas’ Magnolia Theater in Dallas’ West Village at Lemmon and Cole on Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. Portions of the film have already aired with an enthusiastic reception on Fuse Music Television’s Electile Dysfunction (Mr. Burrows was a co-producer of the show as well), which aired during both major parties’ national conventions. Tickets are just $5 each and will benefit Habitat for Humanity, the Music for All Foundation, Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, and the Creative Coalition. However, the first 100 tickets to the premiere will be offered for free on a first-come, first-served basis simply by e-mailing a ticket request. DVD copies of America Speaks Out will be sold at the premiere for $14.95 with a portion of the proceeds also benefiting these worthy organizations.

America Speaks Out takes a look at activities during the summer’s political conventions – protesters, delegates, celebrities, citizens, and even politicians – all having their say on the issues and the candidates. Political perspectives are offered by the likes of Joe Pantoliano, Rob Reiner, Wendie Malick, Joe Piscopo, Al Sharpton, Billy Baldwin, Jerry Stiller, Michael Moore, and Art Alexakis of Everclear to name a few. Entertaining and enlightening, America Speaks Out is a great film to see before the elections, but its unique perspective will have something to say long after November 2nd. In fact, Mr. Burrows is already planning a follow-up documentary on the election’s outcome and voter reaction.

To participate in the free ticket drawing, please e-mail press@AmericaSpeaksOut.org with "Oct. 19" in the subject line. Please list first and last name along with the names of up to 3 guests. These tickets will be held at the Magnolia Theater. General admission tickets are $5 each and available beginning at 6:00 p.m. on October 19th at the Magnolia Theater.
