Today's Politicians: Courageous, Crazy or Self-Serving --
And Does It Matter?
What kind of person enters today's no holds barred political arena where character assassination has become an art form? Are they nuts? How can the voters tell what kind of person they're really voting for? Tom Justin, author of "How To Take No For An Answer And Still Succeed--The Manual" and the nation's foremost authority on overcoming rejection, says that we need to take a closer look at these people.
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) October 7, 2004 -- What kind of person enters today's no holds barred political arena where character assassination has become an art form? Are they nuts? How can the voters tell what kind of person they're really voting for? Tom Justin, author of "How To Take No For An Answer And Still Succeed--The Manual" and the nation's foremost authority on overcoming rejection, says that we need to take a closer look at these people.
Justin says, "Most people go out of their way to avoid this kind of pain, but politicians rush knowingly, headlong into this personal chaos. It's both telling and fascinating to see these how these personalities handle the slings and arrows of outrageous politics."
Justin suggests that there are three kinds of politicians; (1) Courageous -- Those who believe fervently in their causes and that they knowingly enter this fray. (2) The Power-Hungry -- They simply want to consolidate or maintain power anyway they can. (3) Insane -- While there are those with obvious signs, there can be politicians who, if they were diagnosed, would likely be "secret psychotics" or at least, highly neurotic.
Justin, a writer, speaker and strategy advisor based in Las Vegas says that his "normal" clientele includes business and entertainment executives, major corporations and entertainers, salespeople and employees seeking ways to advance their careers. The difference, he says, is that while everyone suffers rejection, unlike politicians, their personal lives and reputations are not universally attacked. "Ultimately those who receive the most NOs in life and keep going are the survivors and the success stories. However, how politicians handle these challenges will ultimately decide how our way of life is affected."
