(PRWEB) October 11, 2004 -- On September 21, 2004 Congressman Mark Steven Kirk visited QuickSet International. Congressman Kirk expressed a keen interest in the jobs created at QuickSet through its work in domestic security. He is a member of the House Appropriations committee and expressed support for the important work QuickSet is doing with the Naval Research Laboratory to protect ships from underwater threats. QuickSet is developing a deployable fiber optic system, which would help to prevent situations like USS Cole in Yemen for the Navy. Thanks to events like the NRL contract and more business, QuickSet has been able to increase its jobs by 16 percent. Some of these jobs have been high technical jobs such as software engineers and electrical engineers.    I want to express thanks for the work that QuickSet is doing for the government. Im glad to see that our defense dollars are coming back to Illinois," said Congressman Kirk. With federal projects, QuickSets growth is by increasing job opportunities in our community.
