Stark & Stark has created the Vioxx Trial Group in response to Merck's voluntary withdrawal of Vioxx. New clincal data has shown an increased relative risk for heart attacks and strokes in people who have taken the drug.

According to a Merck press release, the decision was based on new, three-year data from a clinical trial, which showed an increased relative risk for heart attacks and strokes.
