SRS-WORLDHOTELS, the Americas, a leader in the independent hotel sales, marketing and distribution industry, today announced that it has signed an agreement with Northwest Airlines® to become a hotel company partner in the WorldPerks program. WorldPerks members earn miles each time they fly on Northwest Airlines, SkyTeam Global Alliance Partners and other WorldPerks Airline Partners. Members also earn miles with a variety of travel, communications, dining, entertainment, retail and financial service partners.

Guests at participating SRS-WORLDHOTELS throughout North and South America, who are also WorldPerks members, will earn Triple Miles – or 1,500 total miles – for a qualifying stay now through March 30, 2005. The standard offer to members after the introductory period expires will be 500 miles per stay at a qualifying rate. WorldPerks members must provide their membership number at check-in to receive the miles.

"We are excited about our new partnership with SRS-WORLDHOTELS because our members will have even more opportunities to earn miles at hundreds of prestigious international properties worldwide," said Russ Hinckley, Managing Director, WorldPerks.

WorldPerks members can redeem miles for award tickets valid for travel throughout the world. Northwest Airlines and its airline partners provide service to more than 900 cities in nearly 160 countries on six continents.

“It’s no secret that building relationships with great companies effectively drives business results,” says Tom Griffiths, vice president, SRS-WORLDHOTELS, the Americas. “Our company’s exciting portfolio of unique and elegant accommodations, coupled with Northwest Airlines’ extensive travel loyalty program, creates an association that makes good business sense. Our member hotels are looking forward to providing hospitality excellence to WorldPerks’ members worldwide.”

Griffiths went on say that his decision to create marketing relationships with airlines and other brands associated with the travel industry is just one element of an overriding business strategy he has created for the Americas’ team. In early 2003, Griffiths took responsibility for the overall management, operations and growth of SRS-WORLDHOTELS throughout the U.S., Canada and Latin America. Since that time, he has introduced a fresh vision, newly defined infrastructure and business process that foster these types of relationships.

“When I think about the company we want to be in the future, participation in programs like WorldPerks is critical to our success,” says Griffiths. “Not only does it drive sales through enhanced marketing exposure, it offers our member hotels the types of programs they need to generate as much revenue as possible at the property level. And that’s why SRS-WORLDHOTELS is in business in the first place.”
