LogiXML, ( http://www.logixml.com ) a leader in business intelligence and analytics software, has experienced great success with partners who are Application Service Providers (ASPs) and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). LogiXML products add reporting and analytics functionality to partner solutions.

According to Andrew MacGarvey, Business Development Director of Datatrial LTD, ease of integration into existing applications, shortened time to market, and ease of use for the end-user stand out as significant benefits to partnering with LogiXML.

Datatrial, an ISV that provides solutions to pharmaceutical companies during the clinical trials stages of drug testing, integrated LogiXML’s LGX Ad Hoc Report Builder to create a complete electronic data capture (EDC) solution for their highly-clinical but non-technical end-users.

Historically, EDC solution vendors have provided the tools that capture clinical data but have not provided the reporting functionality needed to make that data accessible and actionable. Challenging the status quo, Datatrial set out to develop a single EDC solution through which clients could gather, access and analyze data throughout the entire clinical trials process. LogiXML’s LGX AD Hoc Report Builder gave Datatrial the reporting and analytics functionality needed to create this complete solution.

"LogiXML has worked closely with the Datatrial team to deliver a solution that allows the end-user to very simply report on their data,” said MacGarvey. “Not only is their LGX Ad Hoc tool intuitive, requiring minimal training, it is also very powerful. This is a great combination allowing Datatrial customers to browse clinical data or generate standard reports against any database that might be storing their data.”

David Simmon, Programmer/Analyst of COBRA Outsourcing Co (COCO), another LogiXML partner, says that LogiXML’s LGX Info has helped COBRA add significant value for their clients. COBRA replaced a competitor’s solution with LGX Info when they needed a better report development tool. COBRA chose LGX Info because it is easier to maintain, provides web-based reporting and enables real-time reporting with more information than the previous solution allowed.

“LogiXML’s LGX Info has helped us take better care of our customers,” said Simmon. “We were using another vendor’s solution that was terribly difficult to update and maintain. Making reports web-based was a complicated process. As a result, our customers were only receiving updated reports once a month. With the old solution, reports required significant time to create and maintain and were difficult for our end-users to use. Integrating LGX Info has enabled us to create real-time, web-based reports for our end-users. LGX Info also allows us to add much more information to our customers’ reports. Now, our customers can view updated information immediately, and our maintenance time and cost have dropped considerably.”

Linda Höwe, LogiXML’s Vice President of Business Development attributes LogiXML’s success with partners to LogiXML’s ability to provide affordably priced web-based reporting and analytics tools that are easily integrated into existing applications. All of LogiXML products are XML-based, can connect with numerous databases and web services and can be deployed across any .NET architecture.

“Our products have a great number of features that work especially well for partners who want to add web-based reporting and analytics to their current applications. Our partners have been very successful with our tools and have found that transitioning from competitive solutions is simple.”

LogiXML will continue to add features designed to help partners provide more value to their current offerings, Höwe adds.

LogiXML recently released LGX Ad Hoc 6.1 with additional features including interactive data analysis functionality and calculated columns, both for end-users. In July, LogiXML began offering its popular web-based reporting tool, LGX Report, for free at http://www.freereporting.com, an offer that has enabled them to showcase the power of their reporting tools.
