Location is Critical to Brick and Mortar Businesses

Jeff Augason does not mind being called a geek" because he loves being a computer geek, and he is a darn good one. He has been a geek for over 20 years, and so when he needed a name for his business that describes what he does and is catchy it was a natural for him to come up with Jeff the Geek."

Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) October 11, 2004 -- Jeff Augason does not mind at all when you call him a geek" because that is what he calls himself, and his on-line business – Jeff the Geek.

The old adage location, location, location" holds true to brick and mortar businesses, but the equivalent for businesses that exist only on-line is name, name, name." Augason readily admits to being a computer geek because that is what he does for a living. He works on computers, web sites, Internet related services, and all sorts of geeky" things.

He says the name Jeff the Geek" seemed to fit best.

I knew I needed a name for my business that described what I do and would be easy to remember. I tossed around all sorts of possibilities, but I kept coming back to ‘Jeff the Geek because it really fits so well. Besides, it gets attention and makes people smile," explained Augason.

The term geek" has been used by some with a negative connotation, but Augason said when people need computer or Internet help the first thing that comes to mind is, I need a geek."

So I created a name that fits exactly. It describes what I do. It describes just what people are looking for. Plus it is catchy and easy to remember. It has really worked wonders for me," said Augason.

The strategy has paid off very well.

I created the www.JeffTheGeek.com web site to expand my local business nationally. There are plenty of consultants who provide some or all of the same services I offer, so I knew I had to do something different to attract new customers. My unique name attracts them, and then my quality services, competitive prices, and personal attention make the sale," he explained.
