Rowan Lore will be part of the First Annual Book Â?Em Event in Waynesboro, Virginia on October 23, 2004. In the first ever book fair of its type, The First Annual Book Â?Em highlights the correlation between high crime rates and high illiteracy rates. Ms. Lore will be signing copies of her debut book, Orange for the event.

Ms. Lore is the author of "Orange," a contemporary fiction novel that encompasses the trends and technology of today. The main character, Demen is a headstrong, self-assured thirty year old that owns a successful magazine called Orange who finds herself searching for answers concerning her future and dealing with unresolved feelings from her past.

“Rowan Lore has written a story that will hit home with many readers. Her characters are vividly true to life and very interesting to get to know. Their nuances will bring a smile to your face or a nod to your head as you recognize the quirks of your own life. The plot is well done with a neatly wrapped up crescendo to bring home the pinnacle of the story. I would watch for more from Rowan Lore...a promising author on the way to the big leagues.” -Heather Froeschl –http://www.Quilldipper.com

Book ‘Em is hosted by the Waynesboro Police Department and is sponsored by Central Shenandoah Crime Stoppers, Central Shenandoah Reading Council, and Friends of the Library.

Rowan Lore, like all of the authors appearing at the event, has agreed to donate a portion of the book sales at Book ‘Em to Crime Stoppers, the Reading Council, and Friends of the Library for use in promoting literacy and helping to solve crimes.

The First Annual Book ‘Em will be held at Waynesboro High School in Waynesboro, Virginia on Saturday, October 23, 2004 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
