Atlantans Gets a Taste Of The World" at the Africa's Children's Fund's Annual Fundraiser
Some of the worlds greatest chefs comes to Atlanta for its 7th Annual Taste of the World fundraiser at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta on Saturday, October 16, 2004 from 6pm to 10pm.
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 13, 2004 --- Africas Childrens Fund and the United Culinary Chefs Association team up to bring some of the worlds greatest chefs to Atlanta for its 7th Annual Taste of the World fundraiser at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta on Saturday, October 16, 2004 from 6pm to 10pm.
More than 600 attendees will enjoy an evening of international cuisine, fine art, and cultural music. The evening will also include a VIP reception honoring Mark OConnell, President of United Way of Metro Atlanta and a charity auction; giving away lavish weekend getaways, dinning and theater packages, golf outings, sports memorabilia and much more. The mixture of great food and a good cause has been successful for seven years now", says Mbaba, President of ACF. Mark OConnell will receive this years Childrens Champion Award during the evenings festivities. Our Honorary Chairpersons include Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Dr. Johnetta B. Cole, Joe Hindsley and Roy Collins. Other highlights will include an art auction and upbeat entertainment provided by the Nigerian Youth Alliance dance troupe and Violinist Ken Ford. All proceeds will support Africas Childrens Fund programs and initiatives.
Africas Childrens Fund is an Atlanta-based, non-profit organization that focuses on health and educational initiatives for youth locally and in several African countries. The AIDS-Orphans Project promotes HIV/AIDS prevention awareness among children in Africa. And, the organizations Project Excel is a mentoring program providing Atlantas youth with tutoring, mentoring, job and leadership training, and parenting skills.
