The Oklahoma Sooners, off their strong performance against Texas, have caught the USC Trojans at the top of the latest iTwentyFive college football poll. The iTwentyFive was previously known as the internet writers and radio broadcasters poll.

(PRWEB) October 12, 2004 -- Oklahoma Pulls Even With USC at No. 1 in iTwentyFIve Poll

The Oklahoma Sooners have tied the Southern California Trojans in the latest iTwentyFive College Football Poll. The Trojans garnered one more first place vote than the Sooners. Auburn moves up three spots to No. 3, followed by Miami. The Purdue Boilermakers, after their win at Penn State, round out the top five.

Virginia moves up three spots to No. 6 after crushing Clemson. FSU and their new quarterback also move up three slots followed by Utah. Texas dropped only five spots after their loss to Oklahoma. Wisconsin jumps up five spots and claims the last spot in the top ten.

The Cal Bears drop only three after nearly pulling off the upset at USC and Tennessee jumps up four spots to No. 12 after the win against Georgia. Arizona State, with USC on the schedule this weekend, moves up one with Georgia and Michigan finishing up the top fifteen.

Oklahoma State rockets up five to come in at No. 15. Louisville and LSU follow with Boise State behind them at No. 19. The Golden Gophers of Minnesota drop seven spots all the way to No. 20 after the extremely disappointing loss to Michigan.

The iTwentyFive is comprised of voters from across the nation who are either free-lance writers, work for alternative media, or are radio broadcasters. The poll is designed to give votes to people who get to watch more than one or two games per weekend and have no systematic bias. We believe it is the most accurate of the polls when it comes to evaluating teams from the vantage point of actually watching the teams play multiple times against different opponents in varying situations. In a nutshell, the jobs that writers and coaches have actually impair their ability to evaluate all teams fairly. Our voters dont have that problem.
