Joining with tekVizion to Showcase Innovative, Multi-Vendor Service Bundles

Leapstone Systems, Inc., a leading provider of intelligent service delivery and content management solutions, announced today it will be participating alongside tekVizion™ PVS, Inc. at Fall 2004 VON Conference & Expo which will be taking place October 18-21 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA.

Those attending the highly regarded industry conference may visit tekVizion’s booth (No. 504) to experience a range of next-generation, innovative service bundles operating across a live IP network. Through a series of demonstrations Leapstone will show how its CCE serviceBROKER and CCE contentMANAGER solutions help operators deliver service bundles that are adaptable to the needs of enterprise, commercial, residential, and mobile markets.

Leapstone and tekVizion have a partnership under which tekVizion provides customized protocol adapter development, integration services, and service creation consulting services to help enable delivery of complete solutions to network operators supported by Leapstone’s convergence software.

Leapstone provides open, flexible software that lets operators design, package, deploy and manage a broad range of compelling content and services. Its CCE products optimize service flexibility and speed time to market, enabling operators to create differentiated service packages for rapid delivery to their market segments. Leapstone has completed pre-integration interoperability testing with over two dozen network element, commercial OSS and third-party content vendors, ensuring that carriers can work with best-in-class elements in their service delivery and content management architectures.

Visitors to the booth will get a unique “behind the scenes” look at how Leapstone’s CCE serviceBROKER and CCE contentMANAGER solutions operate and are used to configure and bundle services. Below are two of the service bundles tekVizion and Leapstone will demonstrate at the show.

Commercial Service Bundle for Retail

•    Find a Specialist Service – Customers use an in-store, touch-screen kiosk to locate remote specialists to answer their product questions via video conferencing.

•    Manufacturer Content Push – The retail kiosk can also be used to access product information such as specifications from the manufacturer. During the video conference between the remote specialist and the customer, the specialist can “push” this information to be displayed on the kiosk.

•    Video Conferencing - Video conferencing is used to allow face-to-face communications between the customer and the off-site specialist.

Residential Service Bundle for Families

•    Teen Talk Time Plus - Through a single, easy-to-use GUI, parents can control their teenager’s phone, Internet usage and video privileges, including setting access times or temporarily disabling one or more services. The service also allows parents to control and review Video on Demand purchases, which will also be demonstrated.

•    Hosted Residential VoIP

•    High-Speed Internet Access

•    Video on Demand

“We are extremely gratified by the appeal that our products have generated with incumbents and next-generation carriers, and this appeal is being further enhanced through our partnership with tekVizion,” stated Leapstone President and CEO Rick Orriss. “tekVizion’s experience developing customized protocol adapters along with their integration services will ensure timely availability of preferred applications, expand the universe of network systems to which the CCE products interface and accelerate the process for integrating the CCE products into multi-vendor environments. Our joint activities at Fall VON will further demonstrate to the industry how Leapstone and tekVizion offer customers a head start on the introduction of new, revenue-generating services.”

In addition to the booth demonstrations, Chris Daniel, Leapstone’s Sr. Director of Business Development, will speak as part of a “Birds of a Feather” panel sponsored by the Multiservice Switching Forum (MSF) on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 6:45-8:00pm. This panel will provide a first look at results from the MSF’s Global Interoperability Event which is going on now and will finish just prior to Fall VON. Leapstone’s VP of Sales and Marketing, Paul Shaneck, also will speak as part of a panel on “Just in time service delivery: the personal touch,” Thursday, Oct. 21, 1:15 to 2:30 p.m.
